Disability and relapse risk of multiple sclerosis patients during pregnancy
- An observational cohort study comprised 9,100 patients examining the impact of pregnancy on rates of relapse and Expanded Disease Status Scale (EDSS) measurements, using a causal inference approach.
- Mean EDSS at 9 years had no significant long-term causal effect (causal mean difference [95% CI] = 0.00 [-0.16–0.15]).
- Similarly, no significant nocuous effect on relapse rate was observed (causal risk ratio [95% CI] = 0.95 [0.93–1.38]).
